I have the honour to tranmit the enclosed

application (in duplicate) from Mr. J. V. White, Assistant

Engineer in the Public Works Department for transfer to

another Colony.

Mr. White has been engaged since he joined

the Public Works Department in the branch of it which has

the duty of carrying out the provisions of the Building

Ordinance. He is reported to me to be a capable officer

and to do his work well.
